Recommended Hardware

BridalLive is compatible with many different hardware components.  The hardware listed below has been tested and verified by us.

In this article, you will find recommendations for many different hardware components, however, you do not need all of these to run BridalLive.
The minimum is an Computer (or iPad) and a printer.

Any computer that can run the latest version of your favorite web browser will work with BridalLive.

**We highly recommend using Firefox or Google Chrome when using BridalLive for the best & fastest possible experience!
**If you do not want to use Firefox or Google Chrome, you must use the most recent version of your current browser. BridalLive will only support the most recent version of any browser**

Tablets and Mobile Phones

BridalLive works with iPad Pro/iPad Air/iPad Mini 2 and newer.  Our iOS app can be downloaded from the app store by searching for "BridalLive".  Or, if you are reading this on your iPad, click here to go to the  app store.

On Android Tablets, you can use the Chrome browser app to navigate to the BridalLive web application.

BridalLive is responsive on modern mobile phones.  Some functions may not be functional on the mobile device, but the majority of features are.

Payment Receipts will not be printable from Tablets, Phones, and iPads.

Most print outs are on 8.5 X 11 sized paper.  This means you can use your existing printer.  However, we do recommend a printer that has low consumable costs.  Our favorite is the Brother HL2230 for front desk/register area and the Brother MFC9330CDW for the back office duty.  Be sure to purchase the "High Yield" toner cartridge with these.

BridalLive also allows the printing of Payment Receipts to a traditional Thermal Printer.  We recommend the Star Micronics TSP 100.  If you decide to use this printer, be sure your paper size and margins are set correctly.  The Paper Size should be 72mm X 150mm and margins should be set to None.  When possible, save these settings as your default print settings.

If you plan to print from the iPad, be sure that the printer you purchase is AirPrint capable. This is the one we recommend, Brother MFC9330CDW.

To print merchandise labels, we recommend the Dymo Printer instead of loading Avery 5160 or Avery 5167 sheets into your standard printer.  Here is a link to the recommended Dymo printer, the Dymo LabelWriter 450. Avery Labels are only supported in the US.

Credit Card Reader

Our preferred merchant account partner is ChargeItPro.  If you would like to use the integrated credit card feature, you will need to sign up with ChargeItPro and purchase a credit card reader.  Please complete this form and Lenora from ChargeItPro will reach out and help you get an account setup.  Keep in mind that this process can take up to 2 weeks.

To swipe cards on a computer, you can use the MagTek USB Credit Card Reader.
To swipe cards on an iPad, you will need the IDTech Shuttle
To accept Chip Cards, you will need to purchase the hardware from ChargeItPro and have one Windows computer on your network.

Cash Drawer

At this time, BridalLive supports the opening of Cash Drawers through the Star Micronics TSP 100.  Refer to this article for more information on how to setup your receipt printer and cash drawer.  We recommend the Star Micronics Cash Drawer.  At moment, BridalLive can only pop open the cash drawer from a computer and not an iPad. *If you are not going to be using the Cash Drawer with the Star Micronics TSP 100, you will manually open the cash drawer.

Barcode Scanner

Barcode scanners are used when ringing up customers or during the physical inventory process.  There are many scanners that will work.  We recommend the Motorola Symbol LS2208

For a wireless solution, we recommend the Socket Mobile Bluetooth scanner.   Bluetooth can be finicky so only purchase this one if you are looking for a completely wireless solution.  There are other more expensive ones with a longer range, but we've found that this one works well.  If you have trouble linking your Socket Mobile Bluetooth scanner to your iPad, please follow these directions.

iPad POS Setup

If your tight on space and would like to setup an iPad POS station, we recommend the following setup Keep in mind that there are many other less expensive options out there, but we have verified this solution works well.

Apple iPad Pro
Apple Wireless Keyboard
Heckler Design Manual Cash Drawer and Stand Box Set (does not pop open automatically)
Heckler Design CC Terminal Holder
Heckler Design Socket Barcode Scanner Reader Holder
Socket Barcode Reader 7Qi (this model is only required if you purchase the heckler design stand)
