The Category function on BridalLive is a great way to categorize your customers. You can segment your customers into logical groups (Bride, Bridesmaid, Mother, etc.).
You can also use the Category feature to categorize your customers based on behavior. For instance, you may want to categorize brides that have visited you, brides that have purchased a gown, brides that have canceled their appointments, etc.
Once the categories are assigned, you can choose to perform a Bulk Action on all the members in the category. For Instance, you may want to filter your contacts for the "Prom 2012" category and then print an Address Label. This can all be done from the Contact list screen.
The best way to assign categories is to use the BridalLive Smart Flows feature. You can set up Smart Flows to assign a contact to a category when a certain behavior is observed. For instance, if someone buys a bridal gown, you can have the system categorize that person as a Bride (or bride that has purchased)
