BridalLive and QuickBooks serve two different roles in your business.
BridalLive manages your store operations, including inventory, customers, orders, and payments.
QuickBooks manages your accounting and financial reporting.
The QuickBooks integration allows BridalLive to export accounting information to QuickBooks, so you do not need to manually enter the same financial data in two systems.
Important
BridalLive exports accounting summaries, not individual transactions.
Most retail POS systems send every receipt to QuickBooks. BridalLive works differently because bridal stores often take deposits and complete orders later when the merchandise is delivered.
Because of this, BridalLive exports summarized accounting entries that properly account for deposits, completed sales, and inventory costs.
How the Integration Works
The integration is one-way.
Data flows from BridalLive → QuickBooks only.
Changes made in QuickBooks do not sync back to BridalLive.
What Information Is Exported
| Activity in BridalLive | What Appears in QuickBooks |
|---|---|
| Receiving Voucher | Vendor Bill |
| Completed Sale | Journal Entry |
| Sales Tax | Sales Tax Payable |
| Item Sold | Cost of Goods Sold entry |
| Payments | Bank Deposits or Undeposited Funds |
Example
When you receive inventory from a designer:
You create a Receiving Voucher in BridalLive.
BridalLive exports that voucher to QuickBooks.
It appears as a Vendor Bill that your bookkeeper can pay using QuickBooks → Pay Bills.
