In this article, you will find recommendations for many different hardware components, however, you do not need all of these to run BridalLive. The minimum is a Computer (or iPad) and a printer.
Computer
Any computer that can run the latest version of your favorite web browser will work with BridalLive.
**We highly recommend using Firefox or Google Chrome when using BridalLive for the best & fastest possible experience!
**If you do not want to use Firefox or Google Chrome, you must use the most recent version of your current browser. BridalLive will only support the most recent version of any browser**
Tablets and Mobile Phones
BridalLive works with iPad Pro/iPad Air/iPad Mini 2 and newer. You will use your Internet browser on the iPad to access BridalLive by going to app.bridallive.com.
BridalLive is responsive on modern mobile phones. Some functions may not be functional on the mobile device, but the majority of features are.
Payment Receipts will not be printable from Tablets, Phones, and iPads.
Printers
Most printouts are on 8.5 X 11 sized paper. This means you can use your existing printer. However, we do recommend a printer that has low consumable costs. Our favorite is the Brother HL2230 for the front desk/register area and the Brother MFC9330CDW for the back office duty. Be sure to purchase the "High Yield" toner cartridge with these.
BridalLive also allows the printing of Payment Receipts to a traditional Thermal Printer. We recommend the Star Micronics TSP 100. If you decide to use this printer, be sure your paper size and margins are set correctly. The Paper Size should be 72mm X 150mm and margins should be set to None. When possible, save these settings as your default print settings.
If you plan to print from the iPad, be sure that the printer you purchase is AirPrint capable. This is the one we recommend, Brother MFC9330CDW.
To print merchandise labels, we recommend the DYMO Printer instead of loading Avery 5160 or Avery 5167 sheets into your standard printer. The DYMO LabelWriter 450, 450 Turbo, 550, and 550 Turbo are the recommended DYMO LabelWriter printers to use with BridalLive. Avery Labels are only supported in the US. DYMO 450 and DYMO 450 Turbo are being discontinued.

Network Extender
NETGEAR WiFi range extender - Recommended wireless extender with a wired ethernet port. Universal compatibility: works with any wireless router, gateway, or cable modem with wifi. The product may not be compatible with routers or gateways with firmware that has been altered, is based on open source programs, or is non-standard or outdated.
Cash Drawer
At this time, BridalLive supports the opening of Cash Drawers through the Star Micronics TSP 100. Refer to this article for more information on how to set up your receipt printer and cash drawer. We recommend the Star Micronics Cash Drawer. At the moment, BridalLive can only pop open the cash drawer from a computer and not an iPad. *If you are not going to be using the Cash Drawer with the Star Micronics TSP 100, you will manually open the cash drawer.
Barcode Scanner
Barcode scanners are used when ringing up customers or during the physical inventory process. There are many scanners that will work. We recommend the Motorola Symbol LS2208.
For a wireless solution, we recommend the Socket Mobile Bluetooth scanner. Bluetooth can be finicky so only purchase this one if you are looking for a completely wireless solution. There are other more expensive ones with a longer range, but we've found that this one works well. If you have trouble linking your Socket Mobile Bluetooth scanner to your iPad, please contact Socket Mobile.
