BridalLive accomplishes this through Smart Flows.
A flow is made up of a trigger and a list of actions that will be fired off when the trigger is "pulled." Lets put this concept into a real-life scenario. When a bride calls to schedule an appointment, you may want to automatically send an email confirmation and schedule a follow-up call. With the example, the creation of an appointment is the trigger and the confirmation email and follow up call are the actions.
Your BridalLive is pre-loaded with Smart Flows, but you are able to create as many as you would like, continuing to automate your business. Saving time = Saving money
Note: To ensure the best use of the smart flows feature, please make sure that all of your email and text message templates are finalized (i.e. wording, logos, links, etc) before creating your flows. Updates to smart flows are not retroactive. Please consider this during setup prior to creating pending appointments and orders.
Creating a Smart Flow:
- Add Flow
- Name your Smart Flow
- Status - controls whether this smart flow will be triggered (active) or ignored (inactive).
- Triggered By - what action in BridalLive should kick off this Smart Flow? After selecting your trigger you may have more options, such as appointment type, department, etc that will further narrow down your trigger.
- Add a Step - here you can add the actions that you would like BridalLive to prompt you to perform.
These steps can be emails, text messages, tasks or other system actions. Let's look at how each works next.
Smart Flow Step Types
Add a "Send Email" step if you would like BridalLive to prompt you to send an email to your contact when the smart flow is Triggered. When you choose to send an email you will be able to select:
- Email template you would like to have sent
- Delivery timing - To have BridalLive to send the email immediately, use the delivery timing of 0 Days After Today.
- Selected upon pop up - this means that, by default, this option will be checked
Send Text Message
Add a "Send Text Message" step if you would like BridalLive to prompt you to send an text message to your contact when the smart flow is Triggered. When you choose to send a text message you will be able to select:
- Text Message template you would like to have sent.
- Delivery timing - To have BridalLive to send the text message immediately, use the delivery timing of 0 Days After Today.
- Selected upon pop up - this means that, by default, this option will be checked
Create Task
Add a "Create Task" step if you would like BridalLive to prompt you to create a task when the smart flow is Triggered. For example, you may want to create a "Send Thank You Letter" task when you sell a bridal gown.
When you choose to assign a task you will be able to select:
- Task Type
- Description (not required)
- Task Priority
- Associate - the person you want to perform the task
- Due Date
- Associate with Contact - do you want this task to be associated with the contact associated with this Smart Flow? Typically you would select YES.
- Selected upon pop up - this means that, by default, this option will be checked
Create System Action
When you choose to initiate a system action you will be able to select:
-
Add to MailChimp List - This will push your BridalLive contact to the specified MailChimp list.
-
Remove from MailChimp List - This will remove your BridalLive contact from the specified MailChimp list.
-
Assign to Category - This will assign a contact to the specified category in BridalLive.
-
Schedule Another Appointment - This will cause the Add Appointment window to be shown.

-
Execute Webhook - BridalLive will call and execute the webhook you/your developer has set up in an outside application via the endpoint URL
Note: Webhooks are executed as POSTs with an expected response of HTTP 200. The payload is formatted as JSON and will contain one or more of the following properties: loggedInEmployee, contact, event, appointment, transaction
