This is mostly done to primarily to prevent price shopping by customers or to prevent brides using your shop for "trying on" and then purchasing elsewhere.
Using Private Labeling
You can private label your merchandise using the Private Label checkbox on the Item screen. Follow the steps below to private label an item.
- Open an inventory item (or create a new one)
- Select the Private Label check box. The "Item Name" field will change to "Store Item Name" and a new field called "Vendor Item Name" will appear. For more information on these 2 fields, see the descriptions below.
- Enter the Store Item Name and Vendor Item Name.
Item Name is how you will refer to and search for this item within BridalLive. It appears on your receipts and merchandise labels. For a wedding dress, the Item Name would normally be the style number of the wedding dress. For a Fee, you might want to use '2-4 Week Rush'
Vendor Item Name is how the manufacturer of this product refers to this item. This will only differ from the Item Name if you private label your inventory. This value will be used on Purchase Orders and Receiving Vouchers.
