The Messaging area allows you to edit your Email Settings, Email Templates, Twilio.com Settings (text messaging), Text Message Templates & MailChimp.com Settings.
Email Settings
BridalLive can send email for you and most folks don't edit this area. However, if you would like to send email outside of our Email Service, select "Use my own email server".
We highly recommend that you select "Let BridalLive send my email for me". This will reduce the number of your emails that go to your contact's spam folder. We digitally sign all emails which helps improve deliverability.
If you would like to setup BridalLive to use your own email server, you'll need to specify the SMTP information. We recommend you use an email address at your own store's domain name to improve email deliverability, but we have compiled a list of the most common email settings here. Once you configure BridalLive to use your email server, you will want to test your account settings to make sure you receive the test email.
Email Templates
BridalLive comes with several pre-loaded email templates, these templates are available for sending directly to your contacts using the Email feature or automatically via a Smart Flow. See the Smart Flows article for a complete walkthrough of the Smart Flows feature.
The email templates have a placeholder image where you logo can be placed. For a complete walk-through on how to update the logo used in your email templates, click here.
To add a new template:
- Click Add Template
- Name your Template
- Status - do you want your template to show as an option for sending right now? If not, select Inactive until you are finished with editing it.
- Type - Most of your new templates will be Text Only (that means it does not include HTML code). The templates pre-loaded are HTML and you may copy & paste those if you would like to create something similar. If you are interested in creating complex HTML emails, we recommend using a web designer to help make everything look perfect.
- Give your template a Subject
- Body - Enter the content of your email message. BridalLive can automatically "merge" information into the email templates. A list of the available Merge Fields is listed above the body section. Copy & paste the merge keys as needed. This is a great way to ensure that your associates' names and your business contact information is always included and up to date in your email communications.

**As always, once you have created your email templates, we recommend sending yourself a sample email so that you can ensure the email looks as you intended.
Note about Email Templates:
BridalLive provides you with several sample email templates. However, we are not able to custom build email templates for our clients at this time. For this service, we recommend using a web designer.
Text Message Templates
